But why maintain a site created with WordPress?
The aim of preventive maintenance is to anticipate possible technical problems and reduce the probability of failure of a site or web application. Our preventive maintenance is made up of several elements: updating the WordPress core, updating the various extensions and plugins, daily backup of all elements, monitoring performance, availability and security . Preventive maintenance is carried out by our teams on a daily basis. We also complement this “human” monitoring by implementing specific software… the best of both worlds! Preventive maintenance operations may include (non-exhaustive list):
The mission of corrective maintenance or intervention is to restore an application or website so that it functions correctly. Corrective maintenance operations are therefore one-off and take place when a malfunction is identified. Corrective maintenance may include actions of the type (non-exhaustive list):
And what about evolutionary maintenance in all of this? Evolutionary maintenance is focused on the future. This type of maintenance aims to make your site or web application evolve, either in order to improve performance or to offer new features to users. Here are also some examples of evolutionary maintenance actions (non-exhaustive list):
For these last two types of maintenance (corrective and progressive), our team intervene on request, on the basis of an indentified problem or requirement.
How much does it cost to maintain a WordPress site?
To answer this question, we must already differentiate preventive maintenance which is carried out on a daily basis from preventive and progressive maintenance which is carried out occasionally when a problem or need arises.
Concerning preventive maintenance our entry price is €69 excluding tax per month . This amount can then vary depending on the complexity of the site (type of site, theme used, page builder used, extensions used, quality of the elements in place, current stability of the site, etc.). We adjust our price after carrying out an initial quality diagnosis of the site or web application.
Concerning corrective or progressive maintenance, our price is directly linked to the expressed need, we therefore set it according to the elements to be corrected and/or developed.
Can you maintain any WordPress site?
Well, no surprise… yes! Any site can be (and must be) maintained to ensure optimal operation and avoid slowness, outages and/or hacks.
Showcase site, e-commerce site using the WooCommerce extension or another e-commerce extension, personal or professional blog, site factory, portfolio, announcement site or even community site… any WordPress site perhaps ( and must be, we repeat) maintained!
